6P and 9P movements
Hi,
I guess you didn't really read my question, or do the searches yourself. Or I wasn't clear. Or something. Maybe you just jumped to conclusions, maybe my double posting confused. I dunno.
Let me try again. My question is not about my watch; I am interested in the movements. I only mentioned my watch for context in case someone was interested.
My question is what is the differences between the movements, and what years were they manufactured?
i.e. what is the difference between 6P and 6P1, 9P and 9P1, and lastly 9P1 and 9P2. When did 6P stop being manufactured and 6P1 start? When did 9P stop being manufactured and 9P1 start? And lastly when did 9P1 stop being manufactured and 9P2 start? What was the rationale for the changes? etc.
For your info:
- Searching for 6P1 (the one in my watch, and the one that's most interesting to me) finds no references whatsoever.
- Searching for 9P1 finds one reference to a watch that has 9P1 but no information about the movement.
- Searching for 9P2 reveals information that seems incomplete because it compares 9P to 9P2 without considering 9P1.
Thanks
James

Actually I think my watch has two 6P1 movements. The question about 9P, 9P1 and 9P2 still stands but I'd also like to know the difference between 6P and 6P1. Thanks James

james1 Remember that between 1943 and 1988, Piaget was a family-run firm producing small batches of exclusive watches. There was no need to record the 'rationale' in company meeting minutes or answer shareholders because usually the chef du manufacture wa...
