Testing out Fujifilm ACROS Neopan 100 Version II
Up front I can tell you that so far I have only tested one roll of 36, so it's not the definitive analysis. In addition to the photos in the "Rumoi" thread, please find an additional seven examples below shot in different light conditions, including contra jour.
In a nutshell my opinion is that Version II still has a tendency to block (muddy) the shadows... although I am very happy with some of the shots which are very clean. In general the blacks are not deep enough (IMHO)... but in general it seems to be an improvement over Version I... time will tell.
I still have 144 x 36 rolls of Version I in the freezer, but I plan to purchase the odd roll of Version II for additional testing.
Additional test shot examples... please allow for compression, some of the photos have nice detail in the shadows that doesn't really show in these internet images.

The third photograph (the one in portrait mode) is a good example where (IMO) the gray area shows nice separation (particularly on the original). There is no post processing except cropping and cleaning specks / scratches. The final photo (contra jour) is slightly adjusted because of the exposure. All photos scanned in monochrome mode on a Nikon Coolscan V ED.
