Louvre Abu Dhabi

Day before yesterday we took a trip to Abu Dhabi and visited our favorite museum the Louvre.

The architecture of that building is amazing. The big dome almost looks like it’s made of thousands of parts of a watch movement

Underneath the dome magnificent architecture with straight lines, white cubical structures, water and contracting light ones.

I’ve tried to capture some of that in the pictures below

But in the evening it’s even more stunning (picture was taken few months back)

The light, the texture, the water... interaction with the elements. Are the open spaces in the roof covered with glass or clear plastic... I guess rain is not a big issue (?)... I would love to visit one day. Casey

Thanks

The open spaces are just that, open spaces. Wiped has free flow through it and rain, well indeed not much of an issue around here

Very interesting I look forward to having the opportunity to see it live one day...

Interesting remark you make about the dome looking like watch movement parts. I never thought of it but it is so true 👍
