I have only found one good use for a monopod...

beside using it as a walking stick πŸ˜‰

It's perfect for stitched photos when a 3-Way tripod head is too much.
All a stitched series needs is enough overlap and somewhat horizontal pan.

A four-part carbon fiber tripod is easy enough to carry attached to the backpack or in hand and is an excellent tool in cases where a steady camera is required... e.g. for long exposure or when using ND Grad filters.

It was a rainy day so the park was [thankfully] almost empty...

the original stitch was four frames but the resulting image was too panoramic, too long and narrow ;-) Casey .

Nice outcomes

...I don't know that I've seen that effect before. Sure as a panorama, but not with a moving person.

hahaha... thanks mdg

That approach only occurred to me in situ... I was there to work on a stitching project when things fell into place. It was more the lack of other visitors that made following the runner a possibility... plan then adjust hehehe... Casey .

Cool
