From 1987 to 1995 I worked for the Tokyo branch of one of the Suisse banks...
and traveled to Zurich a couple of times a year, always taking time to tour the beautiful country... from 1995 to 2010 it was the Tokyo branch of a German company so more travel to the area on a regular basis... I can honestly say that I have seen Switzerland from end-to-end - mostly traveling with Swiss friends ; )
Two of my favorite stores involve sailing on the Zürichsee and being 'stuck' in little inn in Zermat because of a landslide which meant flying out by helicopter... best shared over a beer...
I would visit again in a minute...

the two trees you refer to Casey is a point called Ballenbühl, from which one has a wonderful view over the Oberland Alps...

this certainly explains....usually people who are not familiar wouldn't use 'gateway to the Emmental'
