Dusk to Night in DTLA
Unexpectedly, I had the opportunity to spend a working evening in downtown LA tonight and as a result of finding myself right off the intersection of Figueroa and Wilshire/6th St. I finally had a limited opportunity to take in the grandeur of the latest mega-tower to grace Los Angeles skylines - The Wilshire Grand - housing the Intercontinental Hotel at the ground level of the structure. I was looking forward to this moment for ages, since the skyscraper was officially christened in June 2017, but simply didn't get the opportunity; and crucially, I was hoping to have a high-end camera with me on the occasion, not a Samsung Galaxy S6 :/. Anyway, that set of fortuitous circumstance will have to wait some longer, but here is what I think of as a decent batch of images which I was able to capture spontaneously walking around for an hour total........
