A good day.

Since the weather was so perfect today, I took a stroll around lunch time in the city with the Leica Q to get more familiarised with the camera before embarking on a trip with it at the end of the week.

I wanted to make sure that the only camera I intend to bring with me will be sufficient for my needs. After today, I have no doubt that this is the right decision. It is so adept at landscape, for street photography ..... and even portraiture if need be. I'm actually quite relieved, as initially for the first few times using the camera, I didn't quite get the hang of it and felt slightly disappointed with the operation; preferring my Fujis instead.
Well, all that has changed and I am now well bonded with it and I can see the potential this camera has after the initial hiccup. smile
Here are some shots from this afternoon:

From above

Man in red

Buildings old and modern

Men's grooming

Model posing

Fountain in a square

The wall

An empty seat

and lastly, a wrist shot during a break.

Thanks for looking and have a great week!

Hello, great shots! Well done on the compositions. Where were these taken? I recognize the skyscraper in the deep center of the third shot. That Leica Q is a very versatile camera. I am in the market for just such a camera. I'll be traveling the greater p...

Thank you Harvey!

They were all taken in HK where I live, in the peripheral central district. I agree about the Q's versatility even though some may balk at the fixed wider lens but from the little experience I have had with it, it is the perfect travel and street camera. ...

Thank you.

After doing some more research, I will be buying that camera before the weekend. The all black one may be a stealthy way to go. Hong Kong is where I will be launching the Asia leg of my journeys, in April. Cheers, Harvey

Here's temptation. :)

The first one reminds me a bit to M.C. Escher and the Penrose staircase...

Beautiful day there...

OTOH it's been the coldest days of the year so far here in Tokyo... snow was in the forecast for last night but didn't show... and it's blizzard time in the north. Lovely photos fernando. I particularly like the levels w/ individuals in the first photo, t...

Yes, good to be out and about instead of behind a computer screen. :)

Getting much cooler here but nothing compared to up north for you. I will be leaving for Sapporo in a couple of days so hopefully we won't be hitting blizzard! Thanks for the compliment. I had a feeling you would particularly like those. Best fernando

Your architectural shots are terrific. As are your portraits-as always.

I especially love ## 1 and 2

The first one reminds me of M.C. Escher illustrations, while the second causes me to smile. Marcus

Thanks Marcus.
