well its not the same any more you can get these watches if you look around with a few AD's this at the end of the day is all controlled due to marketing and not due to the fact that they are rare in case of raw material. I would say you can even get 5002...

Certainly a good idea to trade a Daytona plus Explorer II for a 5980. Now if you were talking about certain vintage Daytonas, that would be different. 5980 is a great chrono.

Absolutely!
I traded-in a Breitling + JL Reverso, both of which I rarely ever wore, for a 3710. It was by far one of the smartest transactions I have done + I'm enjoying the 3710 10x more than I ever enjoyed the Breitling or JL. Out with the old, in with the new!

I just traded 2 SS Daytonas plus cash for a 5980. I loved Rolexs, but got bored with the Daytonas. I keep a non-date Submariner to use as a "rough use" watch. Paul
