Searching for the love (or not) for the 5396

I happen to be a big fan. Huge fan. Love the piece. Own one. Even wear it.
IMHO, it's an RG retro-modern right-sized stunner. After the initial launch hub-bub a while back where a handful were sold, it's seems that now ADs and grey dealers can't give them away regardless of price.
Am I missing some 'dog' factor that is obvious to others? Because I just don't understand why it's so unappealing and undesireable to so many.
It's unpopularity doesn't make me love it any less, but I have to admit that the thought of getting uber-clocked when I want to send it off to the secondary market has caught me competely off-guard.
I buy many Titanic pieces because I love them, knowing full well they're hearded straight for an iceberg. I know it, try to buy them as right as I can, and get my clock expectedly cleaned.
This one... at least for now... I never say it coming.
Anyone with any clues? |
