Hi guys, for some reason the 5070 chronograph second hand jumps half a second whenever you push the button, anyone else having the same problem please advice thanks
I know that you are in love with the 5070 and that is absolutely understandable. But objectively speaking: not every chrono does it. I do not know if it is a property of all 5070. Not to say that it is a bad chrono, but the latest PP auto / manual chrono ...
I must agree not all chronos, my 3970, 5970, Datograph, ap chrono didnt seem to have the same problem, I was told it's the same movement as of the speedmaster correct me if I'm wrong. Hope I'm wrong hahaha :S
have the same movement as the 5070 ( same chrono caliber ofcourse plus the perpetual) Base movement is a lemania which we find indeed in some speedmasters but Patek changed it 95% and upgraded it by more or les 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000...
i spoke to some people and reread amanicos post on the 5070 and it was an ebauche made by lemania.... i was misinformed!... it wasnt just the baseplate!! my world has been shattered.. lol
IMHO there should be no jump as it is column wheel controlled vs. cam control found in a eg.7750.But even 7750 's behaves differently as they are finished differently by different brands.
I am on the travel and cannot try it out. However, I do not recall any jump as what you mentioned in both my VC and PP that use same base movement. Strange!!
