Yes- you are right 👍. I remember when I bought them it was early serial- the ones I miss- both an early 3940 and 3970- I’m bummed to not have them any longer- regret the decision. Was looking at a RG but it isn’t the same to me as a white metal or YG

Sadly I no longer own this 1st series. With only about 100 made, 2 tone dial and snap back the 1st series is very special and historically important. Mine had a solid snap back.
There were a few, actually 3971s, with see thru snap back. Your watch loos stunning! Congratulations on owning such a nice watch! ...

Yes mine is a solid back too, a friend has a 3971 snap but missing the two tone dial unfortunately !
