Yes, they make mistakes ..
from time to time. Once they quoted the ref. of 3940 for a 5038. And when I asked one of the "watch experts" if it's a mistake, he said he had to check. And after a few minutes of serious checking, he came back and said it's a 5038. The story tells us that we must do some homework because we use our paddles.

Interesting! I went to Antiquorum's website to check
its data base and found out that on 13th November 2005 there was a exactly the same 3796 with ruby indexes on auction in Geneva. According to the item description, this watch has a porcelain dial. So the experts at Antiquorum may also make a mistake here....
We know this for sure but it makes me more confused
while "listening" to experts from Antiquorum. They used both enamel and porcelain for the same watch on different auctions. Haha ZM

I must add that for the clock market the two terms are interchangeable. I was also initially confused by this terminology when I started my clock collection.
