I have gone back and forth with the 3940. It feels a little small but I love the design and history of the watch.
I would also love a 5164. So not sure. May he that’s the issue.

I find it very interesting that on the secondary market the stainless steel 5164A travel time watch and the white gold 5326G travel time plus
annual calendar moonphase watch are priced somewhat comparably.
With certain models steel is more valuable than gold.
Case in point is most nautilus models.
