is mainly a Canon and therefore I have different lenses, but in your case Nikon AF Micro-Nikkor 60 mm 1:2.8D should be fine. Another option could be a macro lens from Sigma. I would recommend something from 50mm to 70mm, if you also like to take wrist shots.

Recently, I was very fortunate to acquire Patek ref 5160r-001. On October 31, I waited till midnight to witness the retrograde date hand jump back to 1. To my disappointment it did not happen. It got stuck at 19 and the month aperture was stuck in between...

ring flash
The key is the lighting and a ring flash is a great help. Either macro lens length works well. Creating a stand to allow the watch to be photographed in suspension so the whole case can be seen as much as possible is nice too.
Same problem
I had a same problem with you. Unfortunately, I sent my 5160J to Patek. It is 6 months now. Patek still not fix the problem. I am waiting for my watch. It is a very long wait. You are lucky than me.
