Recently, I was very fortunate to acquire Patek ref 5160r-001. On October 31, I waited till midnight to witness the retrograde date hand jump back to 1. To my disappointment it did not happen. It got stuck at 19 and the month aperture was stuck in between Oct and Nov. I had used the use watch only on few days after I took the delivery. Most of the days it was on a winder (provided by Patek)
On November 1, I contacted my AD. I was told to try few things to see whether the hand goes back. Later on I took the watch to Patek in New York. The technician fixed the issue after several hours. Happy to say that on December 1, the retrograde date hand did went back to 1
Any of you in the Patek world have experienced this sort of thing with 5156 or any other grand complication pieces.
Thanks Oliver for your welcome.
I will try to post some pictures. Unfortunately I do not have proper setup to take photos without reflections. The photos you have posted are really nice. I am enjoying my acquisition.. The engraving on the back is not very deep so the feel on the skin is very good. I am curious to know the reactions and opinions of others who own this reference.

Hi Oliver,
As per my earlier post here are the 2 shots of ref 5160r-001 and one of ref 5146r-001
I definitely need to get some sort of set up like shadow box and a proper lens on my Nikon D3

Oliver, Thanks.
Do you take photos which are part of your excellent reviews and articles. By the way they are excellent. Could you suggest a proper lens to photograph a watch. I am thinking of getting a 60mm or 105mm micro for my D3
