Patek Philippe

Yes, absolutely!

But those types are less than 1%.
“Wow, wonderful dial” sounds familiar?
Often heard on comments and that’s where it endswink
Just look at Vacheron, for example, once the most artistic and sophisticated case designer in all horology…!
One marvel after another, complications, looks, functionality, you name it, yet now, if you stroll tru their collections, you only see plain cases, same dials(except Metier d’art off course), as all other Richemont brands, however people still rave about the beauty! What beauty?
How about AP?
Who’s “street slogan” is:
Every new AP starts it’s life at the service centerwink))
And people still buy them like it’s free!
How about Omega, who faked a watch, deleted their whole online archives, yet people still buy them let alone the outsourced parts.
And the list goes on…
Of course I’m slightly exaggerating and there are outliers, but generally speaking this is the reality…
Can you just imagine, back in the day, telling a wealthy costumer who buys a high horology piece, as the ones you presented, that
“This watch is not for everyday use/wear”!
And it’s not the manufacturer’s fault, it is in a way but, it’s mostly the low standards people have this days.
Nevertheless, I thank you for presenting this and other marvels of the not so distant past and as they always say, to each its own…
