Why do you consider Patek even "as little bit of investment"?
Do you want to end up with a small fortune, then spend a big fortune as an investment in Pateks. Buy what makes you smile. If you are looking for "value" then imo a Patek model which you can buy and keep for several years, then sell for what you paid, that is a good value when buying any watch. btw, if anyone in this forum can prove I am wrong, then speak up. Let's hear your words of wisdom. I consider the 5970 P as the ultimate watch in current production. If I were in a position to spend the amount of $$ your writing about, the 5970 P is the bomb.

would if i had the money be the 5970, i love the way it looks and it has a complication that i like in it, no offence but i have never understood the hype and look of the 5070, the casing feels a bit big.
