Well, I 'm deceived

 

And, as a Celestial Lover, I'm sad.

Compared to the 5102 G, or even the new Celestial ( in RG and Platinum ), This one losts a lot of its purity.

1, 1 mm bigger than the " current " Celestials, it is important, and has to be checked in real to cerify if it is obvious or not, but I' m afraid that the limits are already reached.

More important: The bezel...

To me, it is truely killing the purity and the beauty of this fantastic piece.

What is the real necessity of such a " maniérée " bezel???

It gives nothing else than a heavy look ot the Celestial, sadly.

Then the date:

I would have preferred without, but I must admit that it is pretty well integrated in the wonderful, magic dial.

Suprising, and deceiving, finally, to me.

Curious to read your reactions.

I'd let anyone to twist my arm I actually like the hand applied guilloche pattern and those notches for hour markers are useful due to the nature of the dial, IMO. That watch is just beautiful !!

It's ugly, let's face it. This is what happens when you try to convert an elegant watch (original 5102G/5102P) to an avant garde watch. Sorry being outspoken, Larry.

The date is OK and has it's place in Patek historical models but it should be offest in color, not blue like the rest of the dial. The point is, KEEP TO TRADITION even when you add something new! The bezel - Who in the heck let this one pass?!! It's a wor...

that bezel should be on a Rolex NOT PP, why o why did they ruin such a beautiful watch....if they wanted to make it a little more unique, why not just make case a little bigger maybe 2 colour case like the current but yellow gold and platinum rose and pla... 

Is Patek trying to cater for Oris and Roelx fans?
