New music for me is anything written after 1850.
With such a stance I could not go for any modern steel sports watch as my special piece. Yes - I have a Rolex for getting things done but I think the best sports watch made is the Reverso.

I sense that vintage might be a good way to go for you.
Also, Breguet really rocks the visual DNA from Beethoven's time while using updated classic Lemania and FPiguet movements.
The Reverso is very photogenic. Classy watch.
IMHO I see the Reverso more of a dress watch than a sport watch when compared to today’s sport watches.
