There is a noticeable difference ....
Ever since the annual calendar came out in this design, I was a bit puzzled about the reason for omitting the frames around the two outer calendar windows. Compared with the date's window at 12, this made the other two windows appear a bit like stamped holes. Now your pictures clearly indicates that the outer windows, too, have frames. Is this the more recent variant? I definitely would prefer your version over the others, only due to these frames.

This watch is not a Patek, imho ... if I look at the design. It is one of the very few, possibly only watch from Patek that I would not want to have . The lugs are playful with theire holes, the central second hand gets too much attention as it stands out...

Marcus, the watch was introduced in 2010 and there have been no changes so far. By the way, you can find the same kind of frames at Ref. 5207 which was introduced in 2008. Oliver

it is just a part of the design approach. Nothing more, nothing less. More sophisticated cases need more sophisticated dials ... Oliver
