The lead up to my 60th …

What can I say … it was a good day !  Still under the “novelties” category and no price hike since I requested an allocation.. pretty much win win across the board ..

It’s been on the wrist for a little over a day and already I can declare unequivocally, it’s the most well balanced and comfortable piece I have … no excess tilt to either side of the wrist, not top heavy, doesn’t dig into the wrist … unbelievable really….

Oh, and it looks 🔥

Am quite pleased … as I said… it was a good day !

You feel enough of it but not something you feel weighing you down The “blue” if definitely more greyish .. I like it it as I have 2 other blue dials from patek so this is something new to enjoy

Congratulations!

It looks right on your wrist and coincidentally I too spoiled myself with a Patek for my 60th in 2023. The 3878J discontinued in 1998 and purchased brand new from Patek due to a cancelled special commission by a VVIP ...

Thank you!

Yes I too was surpised to see it on a display at the Patek Salon in London. Apparently it was commissioned specially by an important customer who later cancelled his order. Although this is a 31mm watch, you might agree that it wears well on my wrist.

Thank you Imran!

A rare find. I have not been able to establish though if the watch comes with a Geneva Seal or a Patek Seal!

Big fan of Lalique here. And we have members here on WatchProSite who collect Rene's vintage pieces too.
