I don't had the chance to try the 5004 but I remember quite well the 2499 , the 3970 and the 5970.
And I had a problem with the 3970 with saphire caseback (It is not exactly the same with the metal one).
The watch is beautiful, no doubt about, but I was disturbed by the proportion between the diameter and the thickness.
The 2499 gives a complete different effect in term of proportion, much thinner and more balanced, the same for the 5970. The 3970 gave me the impression of a little burger.
As the 5004 is not far from the 3970 but thicker I suppose it is even "worse". I must say I don't like the 5004 for that reason, as revered as it is by Patek lovers, maybe it is a part of its charm for those who like it.

Its simply to thick/high Kamal 5204 will solve this problem for sure but will take a while for your dial/case combination to be available give the 5004 back to R, looks better on her for sure! ;) Ciao, Detlev

I am not clear on the size issue you have...
the watch fully fits your wrist and I would not go larger. The bigger they get relative to wrist size, the more damaged they get as the watch takes the hit instead of the wrist, food for thought.

I would suspect that to most (women that is) size does
matter as it's a fashion statement of sorts (and I'm speaking of watches now). Now, that seems have had quite an impact on men as well given all of the big watches being made today. I had a client in last week wearing a 5070 and while the watch is certain...

I just don't like anything beyond 36mm so the 5004 is the perfect size..I got a 5496 but its just too big and would switch it for a 3970 any day. Horses to courses I guess! Roni
Whit, I fully agree with you on size.........
Too large a watch on a man imo looks ridiculous. But a large watch on a lady, say about 40-42mm looks great and dare I say sexy :) In the case of the OP, the size looks spot on :) Regards Tony
