Had a tough time deciding between that and the 5170.

So it was a long hunt with a happy end 😉 The 1815 will be a strong contender when I decide to go for a manual winding chrono.

I tried to love the 5070. Patek has always been known for its tasteful proportions. Somehow that, compounded by the insatiable asking prices of the 5070 swayed me against it.

A perfect combo. I'm not a huge fan of the 5170 normally, but the Breguet numerals bring out a very cool look. Best, Daniel

I have the same watch and also always felt that it is a great casual wearing piece.

I might love it most in casual settings. It also a watch that looks great on a variety of straps. I have a new one coming in a few more weeks that I’m very eager to try. In the meantime, here is mine saying hello, also from a casual setting. ...

To me, this strap feels right on this watch for casual situations. It has a similar feel as the new 5212 as far as the pairing goes.
