I really like the layout of the dial on the 5059, great proportions. I do not mind the thickness at all. The 5159 has beautiful guilloche center dial however. The 5059 is nostalgic for me since it reminds me of my first Patek that I wore everyday for a decade. then I sold it during the large watch craze. I am now ready for it back. During the time I owned the 5054 I always admired the 5059 and wanted to upgrade but never did,. So now the time seem right if I can find the right 5059 with full papers and original winding box.

The difference between the movements is minimal:
3 Hz vs. 4 Hz. My wrist is 8 inches and I could well wear 5059. If 5159 is so much more expensive, by all means go for the older version. Best, Kari

I guess it feels slightly larger than 36 because of its thickness but it\'s comfortable and still fits under my shirt cuff.
