for your advice/thoughts! I can't see my guy not wanting to own a very nice watch. Even if it turns out he only wore it for special occassions, etc. My major concern is that the PP model I've picked is too old fashioned for someone in his late 20s? I am having this doubt because a guy friend of mine that I confided in about my purchase idea told me that although PP is a great company, this watch was an "old man's" watch. But I thought it looked simple, classic, and handsome. Am I way off base? My guy's Hamiltons have very simple faces and straps.

I don't understand how everyone menations the resale value. Resale value shouldn't be a factor when discussing a wedding day gift. I'd have it engraved as a memento of the occasion. The gist shows a lot of thought and having engraved just reinforces this....
