Sparkling older Calatrava joins my collection

Being a Patek fan, I owned 1 Aquanaut and 2 World Time over the years. I still own a 5711. One day I decided that my collection couldn’t live without another PP, so I started searching for a Calatrava, one that is easy to tell the time, has out-of-the-ordinary looks, has a simple-is-beautiful dial, and is “vintage” or “vintage in looks”. This 5022R ticked all the boxes: RG case; salmon-pink guilloche dial; applied RG Romans; easy to tell the time; and traditional, small 33.5 size reflecting its 25 years of age. It came with an old-version folder to hold the Certificate of Origin without needing to fold it.

Even though I prefer very large watches (40mm-47mm), this one in my eyes at 33.5 surprisingly doesn’t look too small for my 18mm wrist. I love the sparkles.

It's not a "rare" Calatrava, but not so many too. I have many white dial watches, and liked the variation of this salmon pink.

I think this is my only watch with Romans, but I think the shinny, applied RG Romans add a nice touch on this one..

I also tried to find more info on it. The PP experts might be able to help. What I know is it's a PP 5022R-001 (R for RG). Made from 1997 until 2003. Manual-wind caliber 215 PS (I believe PS because of the small seconds). It came in 3 golds + platinum. No...

There are hundreds of Calatravas if you do a search on Google, but this one is not very common to begin with, although a few showed up online here on in Japan. Unfortunately, most were either sold out already or did not come with papers. So I had to keep ...
