Patek Philippe

something to consider

If your budget will only allow a 5960P or a 5159, if you can sell
another watch to make up the additional funds, you may be able to
get a 5970. Then, you'd have the perpetual calendar of the 5159
and the chronograph of the 5960P. The 5960's movement will be
mass produced compared to the 5970's movement, so 5970 is much
more collectible. The 5970 is also much more collectible than
the 5159.

If it's not possible to get a 5970, here are some questions worth
asking to decide:

1. Are you looking for a classic more dressy watch (5159) or do
you want something more sporty (5960)?
2. Do you more desire a perpetual calendar (5159) than a
chronograph (5960)?
3. Do you desire more an older movement that required more
workmanship (5159) or do you want a more modern movement with
parts made to tighter tolerances that required less workmanship
(5960)?
4. Do you mind having a watch that is less in demand and harder to
unload (5159) or would you like one of the hotter watches that
should be considerably easier to unload later when/if you sell
or trade it (5960)?
5. Which one do you think looks better?
