I personally love both but I'm not sure I would have had the guts to get both. On the other end, it is true that I would have had greatest difficulty to choose between both...

I also agree with you that wearing it with a strap instead of the bracelet must be a good option. Kari (dr kol) gave some good advice some time ago about it if I remember well, you should easily find his post.

Big congrats, it's a great catch. Try to make some macro shots, the dial is quite interesting and I'm sure it should make great macro pics + post a wristshot again with a strap when you will have one.

to own both 5960/1A and 5960P. The watches feel and look so very different and because the movement with its complications is great, it is well motivated to have both steel and platinum. Best, Kari
