You're only going to own one watch the it really has to be the 5711. Unfortunately gold is so soft and marks so easily that it's tough to wear on a daily basis. However, if you're not determined to have a white face there's always the 5711/1P
Or a "cheaper" alternative
is the 3711G which is incredibly comfortable on the wrist and has an incredible black dial !
They're very rare
Only produced for 9 months I believe so you'll have to buy preowned, they go between 90k euros for extract and 110 full set for a really nice unpolished one
The bracelet on the 5711 is not flimsy. When I think of flimsy I think of vintage Jubilee or Oyster bracelets.
The two are similar in terms lightness, but I think the Rolex bracelets with age have generally got some stretch which combined with the lightness gives the impression of flimsiness. For my, the bracelet on the 5711 is one of the most comfortable of all.

lifestyle issue and an overall Patek/watch collection matter. The white 5711 is certainly a versatile watch. For me, 5711 with bracelet can be deployed both in causal and more formal clothings. Good luck with your decision.
