I am thinking of purhcasing a Patek perpetual calendar 5140 but i dont know which one i should get..any thoughts..thanks

I would have to agree with the count on that. I got the G, but sometimes regret that I didn't buy the J instead. Great watch either way, though!...  

It is hard to choose from all these lovely Pateks. Your Patek collection is very balanced and contains of model variations that I would go for too. The 5146 in YG with slate dial is stunning, the YG 5124 is pure art deco and a nice, "hefty" Patek. Also yo...

that is you will keep the watch for your use, I vote for yellow gold everytime. Of course white gold fetches more on resale. I think the yellow ages much better than the white overtime.

do give you a vintage charm and looks good on certain models eg 5159. WRT white gold fetching better resale value, I believe the trend is changing. Coloured gold is more preferred now due to the huge buying power from Asia, especially Chinese. I can see t... 

I did at one time have the White Gold. But really like the look of the brown dial and the R/G hands

A matter of personal choice really when it comes to choosing the metal. Personally I prefer the rose. Then the white. Then again u may not like the rose gold with a brown dial. I have the rose gold with the off white dial (3940R) and is my preferred choic... 

it also depends on availability, i think i will be going for a 5140J even though i probably would prefer a G but cant get one for a while, i already have a 5070G, 5960P, 5146G and 5980/1A so having a yellow gold Patek might be good for a bit of variety
