Produced in 1952, this watch features a cloisonné enamel dial which depicts a tropical locale and associated flora. Cloisonné enamel dials make use of gold wires to define the outlines of the objects to be depicted and within the area defined by these wires, coloured powdered enamel is spread then fired then cooled to render the desired art work.

The yellow gold case measures around 36mm in diameter and features double stepped claw lugs with a concave bezel.

It is powered by calibre 27SC.

These watches are naturally scarce and not something that you're likely to see on a regular basis, so I consider it good fortune to have been able to handle it and strap it on.
