1) RE: "To me it seems that patek has produced loads of simple chronographs,
perpetual calendar chronographs and perpetual calendars"
... what' your definition of 'loads' ?
While none of us have the numbers of PP production for various models, I am pretty sure that
that these watches are not made overall in large numbers at all when comparing to their non-complicated pieces.
2) RE: "I would think the marketplace for the 3970, 5970, and to a lesser extent 5020 would be a bit shakey,"
How so ???,.... to the contrary ....these models seem to be some of the most sought after...
3) RE: ".Please tell me if I am correct in saying that the 5004 is much much
much more difficult to make
than the 3970 or 5970 or 5020 ect ect?......and the 3940 is extremely easy for Patek to produce."
again.....I am not sure what is your understanding of 'much much
much more difficult to make'
and 'extremely easy to produce'.....but I can assure you that majority of the members of this forum will agree with
me when I say that there is nothing 'extremely easy' to produce about ANY Patek perpetual calendar.
