I have been on a mission over the last 3 years to build a small collection of vintage Calatravas. I have posted small reports on two of the following three in the past, but now I have another to add that is new to the collection. In fact, I bought it one ...

.....caressing to wear. Its like they are velvet to the eyes. I think Rolex provides something so different. But these vintage Calatravas.....its a small passion, yes. Almost certainly, I have the four I want. There is one more that I would move on if it ...

Yes vintage PP has a charm and attraction that I feel increases the more pieces you collect I know there is always another in the "sights" Looking forward to seeing what comes next ( and hopefully seeing some of your stupendous collection ) Kind regads Ju... 

The 3415 model was not as good in term of style. I guess you'll be hunting the next one soon but this is a great gathering already. Congratulations Joe. Cheers, Mark

Do you mean the 3541?

I mentionned the 3415 because it was from the 60's too but compared to your watchess curves and dials it was less appealing.

Nice combination of dress with that gold and tool with the amagnetic caliber and the screwed down caseback. a major watch. (my preferred is still the one on the right, really rare and special)

....2508....2509...both have this similar appeal to me. Yours is a dream. Like you, yes, I have toyed with the 96 idea. I think I could wear a watch at 34mm, but once it gets below that...I am beginning to struggle I think.

I like to wear my watches, and the wearability of the 96 is not very high... but the heritage and designs keep me at the table. The prices are right, too! The 570 is a dream but the cost is prohibitive. I suppose the 2508/2509s are a perfect balance, and ...

That´s exactly the right wording for these Calatravas. Many other brands have also made similar designs in this period but magical reasons you would always be able to recognize a PP among all others. Your new addition is just superb and completes your tri...

And it is true that this 3940P is a killer. I don't know why it is such a beauty but there are so few posts about 3940. I think I should correct that and post few pics here, it's really a gorgeous piece. Looking forward to our next meeting my friend. Best...
