Prefer 5165
I just love the Aquanaut! Size is a personal matter and size and as we know has changed with the times with watch faces becoming larger in the recent era. (There is no apparent reason for this 'fad' unless eyesight has deteriorated in that time).
But apart from size – I never understood the 5167. The design just looks as if it was created with 38mm in mind. The date snugly fits at the edge of the dial - while with the 5167, the effect is that the face appears as if it is a 38mm ‘stretched’ a little and half sized tick marks are inserted between the outside the date box and the edge of the dial – so pretty ugly finish seems to me!
But I am in a minority here - the 5165 is readily avaliable and the 5167 harder to find. But go for it and get a good deal!
