Never own a PP before, looking to acquire either the 5130G or 5146G, any suggestions? Pros and cons? Thanks.

if you want to know simply which one "I" like better, it's the 5146 hands down in terms of looks and functions. Besides the great look of the 5146, I wanted a watch with annual calendar function. The 5146 not only has month, day, date, moon phase, etc. fu... 

Try them both, and you'll have the answer. If it was me, the 5130 would be the one, in fact I should say IS the one, but when we speak about WT, I'm always biased. The Friendly complication, the nice " soleillé " dial, .... A watch which will make you tra... 

Is which out of your two choices would you best find practical for you. For example do you travel a lot? Is knowing the date important to your? Also, it goes without saying out of the two, which do you like the look of. Try them both on and see. My choice...

Hi, The 5146G would be my choice, even if the 5130 is gorgeous too! The 5146G would be perfect for an everyday watch (for me). The 5146P would be much better though, but that's another story! Cheers Dje

Thanks for all your replies. How I wish I could buy both of them as I am still struggling to come up with a decision. Functionality and practicality wise 5246G beats 5130G hands down. The 5146G with creamy dial is a beauty and it's even better looking tha... 

i have had a pp 5145 j and a i use it every day it is classic and practical, i certaily would be in side of the pp 5146. as far as collecible time will tell. thanks jorge

with the slate dial as its the next Patek I'd like to get as well. Tony

I agree with Tony--5146g with slate dial. I thought I wanted the cream dial--it looked better/more classic to me in pictures. When I went to an A.D. and saw both, to my eye there was no comparison. The slate has a very subtle, very beautiful, slightly mys... 

Sorry for the poor photos, I need to get the new iPhone, but my wrist size is 7.5 in and I find the 5146 a bit small (for today''s standard) but the watch is more "value for money" than the 5130 which seems to be a bit pricey for the function versus the 5...  

The decision, imo, depends not only on the watch itself but also how many Pateks you are planning to own in the future. If you will only have one Patek and you will wear it very often, I think 5146 (or any other annual calenders 5396, etc.) is the choice....
