if you want to know simply which one "I" like better, it's the 5146 hands down in terms of looks and functions. Besides the great look of the 5146, I wanted a watch with annual calendar function. The 5146 not only has month, day, date, moon phase, etc. functions, it also superbly displays them in a beautiful and classy (classic) style. For me, there is just something about its look that draws me to it. (But then, I am different from you because I chose the YG/slate dial version, not the WG.)
The decision as to which one you like and which function(s) you would rather have will depend on your own personal tastes in design, as well as on your own needs and wants. It can be hard making a decision. Sometimes, however, you will quickly be able to decide which one it will be when you try them on.
Good luck in your search.

Is which out of your two choices would you best find practical for you.
For example do you travel a lot?
Is knowing the date important to your?
Also, it goes without saying out of the two, which do you like the look of.
Try them both on and see.
My choice would be the 5146.
I much prefer the functions of an Annual Calendar over the World Timer.
But that could because I only travel overseas once or twice a year. LOL

The decision, imo, depends not only on the watch itself but also how many Pateks you are planning to own in the future.
If you will only have one Patek and you will wear it very often, I think 5146 (or any other annual calenders 5396, etc.) is the choice. I like esp. the 5146G with grey dial. It is indeed a very elegant watch on the wrist.
If you are planning to own more Pateks, esp. if you plan to have perpetuals, perpetual chronos, etc. in the future, I'd go for the Worldtimer. For me Patek is THE reference in the field of WT watches. I own a 5110P and really enjoy it. A very understated watch with an ingenious mechanism.
The good thing is, however, you will never go wrong with either of them.
