Not that bad...

Saying that, as much as the series 1 was terribly rare, I would opt for a Series 2 with the large hallmarks and a sapphire crystal case back as the movement is a sight to behold! The way it fills up the case back better than the 40mm 5970 and 41mm 5270 is... 

Simply superb on the wrist ! Thank you to our friend for the great opportunity to try it on the wrist. ...

It is my understanding: That the first series which began manufacture in around 1986, transitioned from the 2499 which ceased production around 1985. It consisted of about 100 pieces, all of which had 2 characteristics which distinguished it from all othe...

And it’s still selling for reasonable prices when comparing it to other PCCs from Patek,I think the number made contributes to the it will definitely pick up when the 5970s becomes the new 5070 ! Not long before that happens.I like the 5970 more,Speciall... 

And it is very much underappreciated. I had and enjoyed a 3970J second series very much. As to 5004 vs. 5970P I debated this for years.... now I am an owner of a 5970P. Best
