Patek Philippe 4936R-001

A few weeks ago, we picked up the PP 4936 for my wife. It is a reference 4936R-001 in red gold with a white croco strap.

Finally, I took some pictures so I can share them with you.

Unpacking…….

Here is the marvel. The mother of pearl dial shows fascinating reflections in the light.

The watch features the famous PP annual calendar function with moon phase in a diamond set rose gold case of 37 mm diameter. Mother of pearl dial with gold applied numerals.

The movement is a Caliber 324 S QA LU, diameter 30 mm, 5.3 mm height, 328 parts and 34 jewels. Gyromax balance. 35 -‘ 45 hours power reserve.

We are very happy with our first PP in the family. There is only one small critique: the execution of the moon is relatively simple (seems to be a print). Other companies like Jeager LeCoultre or Vacheron Constantin do this much nicer with three dimensional moons. Considering the price point of PP and their expertise, they could simple do better with this regard.
