I am going to go on a (guessing) limb here.
The fact that we saw no other metals and 5960 was only in platinum in Basel 2006, 2007 and 2008 leaves me suspicious 1) Patek comes out with rarely with platinum version first (usually some colors of gold go fist) 2) I cannot think of any recent reference...

Keep the watch available only in Platinum; no need to offer it in other metals because of a softer market. If you run a private, exclusive company, your goals are not quarter to quarter but long term
