Hi Peter, As Amanico stated; Buy only if you like it.

Personally I did like all the 5960 variations a lot.
Aesthetically I love the 5960A with it's bracelet. It's functions, it's case shape and the vintage inspired pushers. Also it is a Flyback chronograph topped off with an Annual Calendar AND all of that in stainless steel package. Great daily wearer and you can combine it almost with all outfits and wear it on probably all occasions.
Currently the 5960 is discontinued in steel variants.
When I saw an interview with Mr Thierry Stern and when he explained that PP's focus was to produce more in precious metals (maybe cutting down Nautilus/Aquanaut volume and basically not adding versions in Steel) He said in the interview that he doesn't see PP output in steel watches to go up but rather go down.
To me that was the moment I decided to hunt for this complicated beauty in steel and I absolutely am very happy with it.
When is the last time Patek made a complicated stainless steel watch? ... Honestly I don't even know and when they did, it used to be in a very low volume and all those pieces are now very hard to find.
Hope I helped you with giving my POV on this ref. and my personal motivation on why I got it.
If you really like it I would definitely recommend getting it. To my (limited)knowledge and if you look at PP model history pieces like these don't come around all that often.
Please let me know what you decided.
Best regards,
H
