My preference for rectangular cases . . .
. . . is well established, and the ref 5111 is no exception to the list of aesthetically pleasing watches patterned after golden ration proportions.
This particular model was introduced several years before the ref 5124, which debuted the new shaped 25-21 REC PS movement. Dial and case considerations aside, there's a harmony that results from a shaped movement in a rectangular case; my suggestion would be to try a 5124 alongside the 5111 to see which resonates more deeply.

thanks for your reply i am going to dealer again this weekend as watch was at their other store when i went to view last week so having only seen the watch on dealers website i will get more idea if its the one for me once i have it on wrist must say thou...
I don't think you can ever . . .
. . . expect a discount on anything, much less a Patek, but it doesn't hurt to ask ;-) . . .
