My first post in a long time, wearing my 5905R-001

I haven’t posted on here since around new year 2022 from my recollection. Nevertheless I have missed all the superb watches shared on this site. I thought I’d show what I’m wearing today - my now discontinued 5905R-001, acquired earlier this year. I love the two complications, the dauphine hands and scalloped case. The white apertures set against the brown graduated dial make for a nice contrast. I do wonder whether the watch would be better coupled with a folding clasp instead of the tang buckle.

I’m yet to see the new 5905R-010 with blue dial and strap in the flesh. I’m sure it is electric.

I’m doubtful that the 5905 will ever be as heralded as the 5960 given the 5960 was the original annual calendar/chronograph. Nevertheless I love this piece.

If I were to add another annual calendar chronograph, I’d love to acquire a 5961P. The gemsetting, metal, pushers and chronograph register provide sufficient difference to the 5905R-001 to justify it. At least that’s what I tell myself haha. Perhaps two annual calendar chronographs is superfluous?
