Hi, I am considering to buy my first Patek. Not having the funds for a new one I consider to buy a 12 year old Patek 5035G. What would be a reasonable price to pay from a juwellery shop in Europe considering a 5035G in excellent condition (rosegold/deploy... 

.....i would suggest looking at websites that offer alternative watches for sale so that you can compare. I would also say that you need to make sure you are comparing apples with pears. Does it have its orginal box and original papers or just extracts or... 

Thank you Baron. I have seen 5035G's on offer for around €18.500. The one I am interested in seems in excellent condition with no damage, has all the original papers and box. But an age of 12 years might mean it needs a service so I have to add another €1...

....as a first Patek Philippe, unless you know the seller well, buying the watch unseen from a dealer you have never used in a different country.....don't do it.

I will drive the 700 km to have a closer look at both the seller and the watch

In light of the edit to my post above by Baron, and it now reading a bit odd, it should be noted that I referenced a 5035G being sold on C24. The same seller has a 5035R, and like the rest of the members have said, do your due diligence and build a rappor... 

There is nothing wrong in buying 2nd hand or pre owned. Patek is a super brand. My biased opinion. Enjoy your money. Life is for you to enjoy prudently. Cheers.
