It is nice to have such project :)
Well, I don't have a single answer but several input to add maybe.
You'll have to pay a visit to your ADs and see them several times more, this will help you a lot feeling the ones that fuel your passion and the ones that you maybe feel you won't like as much as time goes by.
I started in watches with the Lange 1815 in rose gold. In the mean time, I loved the Lange 1 I just discovered.
Finally I evolved and decided to sell it as I needed something more (in terms of complications I think, or went toward the independents).
So, I sold the 1815 after a little more than a year. It was not necessary to get it in the end but it was a really pleasure anyway and I sold it around the price I bought it. So, good exeprience (I still remember the dial sandblasting I like very much and a few details, dials side) but not the one that made me stay with lange either. You can thus decide to go Lange and change later if you need (though the market is not in the same situation than a few years back).
I needed a little longer to discover what was really Patek behnd what I thought was a more conservative style. To make it short, I settled at Patek because it is what suited me best, on many levels (among which there are subjective issues of course).
In that case, the 5110P is a trully great choice and would not really choose something else, except a 5127 is you wanted a 3-hands watch.
So, you can go for a less complicated watch and save for later when you'll sell it and buy the 5110 (there is always a risk when reselling a watch of course). Or you can wait to have the right budget.
I think the first situation is a good one to spend time with a very nice watch and discover something else, gaining expereience. However, it is imho a mistake to go for the one you can afford right now but that is not your top choice.
You should focus one the one(s) that make you dream first. If you can get another, less expensive one, to help you wait and gain exepreince, it is also a good alternative. I know the ALS is very very tempting. Many watches we like and don't possess yet are very tempting. But many become "mistakes" very quick after wearing it for a while and getting used to it. So, be careful, you should really want it and the budget matter should not push you in that way (except if one knows he will never go for a higher budget of course).
Then, you'll have time to save during the year and be able to think about the one you want next (Lange 1, 5110P or another one...).
Question is: Saxonia, 1815 or 5127 or other 3 hander right now to wait before selling (and a risk to loose a little), or wear something else until when you'll be able to afford the one you really want.
The 3 watches you chose are great anyway, in terms of watchmaking. The question is which one will bring you pleasure on the long run and I think the Saxonia may not answer to that need from what I understand.
Keep us informed!
Cheers, Mark
