Is this going to be a well regarded classic?

Hi Michael and FabR, quick question id like to ask. I am contemplating getting the 6119R,but due to not being very affluent I need to be very careful with my purchase. I obviously think its beautiful, but do you guys think there's a place for 6119 as a classic, or is it going to end up like some failures like 5123?
The movement thing also concerns me regarding another thread accusing patek of cutting corners with this particular watch and movement.
Like obviously I think it's beautiful, but I wouldn't want to buy a watch that is forgotten or being rated badly.
And then there's value proposition, Lange seems to offer a lot (might even offer more) for its price. What do you think of the lange vs pp debate?

This new design is clean, and the clous de Paris bezel is simply wonderful. This combination makes this watch elegant and classy, as a Calatrava should be. Enjoy it often !

Congratulations!

Curious to hear how you like after you have had it for awhile. I have one incoming for preview but concerned about the fit. I heard it wears larger due to the case size.

Yay or Nay?

I really like the watch, especially the new 30_255 movement. The polish on the movement is amazing. ...

First of all, welcome to our forum Dalaruan! ;-) I will refrain from market considerations, also because nobody can really predict how this (or any other) model will be received by collectors in the future...

However, if you ask for my brief opinion about this specific Calatrava, I am genuinely positive about it, despite its being an entry-level piece for the brand. The 6119 is one of the first, long-awaited models of the "new generation" of the line, with obv...

Hallow Dalaruan. I agree the opinion of FabR

No one knows the future values and reputation of PP. But at least I`ve never regretted buying a PP watch. of course I`ve let go , but only when I buy my favorite next PP watch.

Thanks FabR and anaroku!

Yea I understand what you two are saying. I guess it's partly because of a previous watch I've bought that I still think is brilliant but pretty much written off everywhere else, especially these days lange is all the fire. I guess there's nothing perfect...

Wow!

I’ve never been a fan of the hobnail bezel, but this completely works. What a beautiful piece.

Congratulations!

I was lucky to see it in the metal at the Geneva Salon and I think it looks even better in real life than in photos. A beautifully elegant piece.
