I wish you all the best in your search, but without a prior history (or the willingness to build one starting with slower models), it's pretty much hopeless anywhere for certain references.
I have a dear childhood friend who's been living in Singapore for a few years and was also hoping to eventually get a 5167 at retail as a resident, but there's no chance. I gave him a 5711 a couple years ago, maybe next week in Genova I'll also pass him my 5167 (or maybe not 
). The best bet might be going with someone who's already a strong customer; this same friend was able to get a SS Rolex just recently in this way (while his friend, who was already a Rolex client of this AD, was buying half of the shop). Else, as you certainly know, in Singapore you can always find anything you want at resellers for an insane premium, but this is never my #1 suggestion;-) Cheers.

Hello, I think I will like to purchase one of this. I am wondering if any of the folks in SG can share their experience with the availability of this particular model there. I am prepared to pay a deposit and wait but will any AD even entertain that idea ...

I am not that naive to imagine that the 012 will be available to me with no prior hostory with Patek 😆 I appreciate your input though. I am retired now and plan to move back to SG next year, hence trying to get a feel of the AD situation there.
Yes, those are pretty tough too.
But hey, nothing is impossible. We always try... the hunt for 5167A at retail in itself will be an interesting project and along the way, make some new friends with ADs in Singapore. All the best.

That is what I am most afraid to hear. I spoke with a SA during my visit to the Patek exhiibition at MBS this year and he too politely try to dissuade my chase, pointing me to a Calatrava instead. I cannot afford the extra premium so perhaps another time ...
