I have the 5170J and needed a strap to fit. I seriously considered the black as the older pieces from the 40s had black straps in pictures and I agree the black would really sizzle on this watch. But, I ultimately went with brown. Next time black.

I also prefer the J and its dial.

Looks very classic. For some reason Patek is now using brown straps with R and J, but I think black contrasts better with R or J.

Hi Nicolas, As it is not possible technically to change it on this calibre, and I don't imagine them making a new manual wind chronograph calibre to modify that only, don't wait for it. Order your 5170J right away! See you soon. Dje

i was told by the sales so J is still on the window

per the press relesae. It will interesting to see if they make it in different metals. The price sure will be high. Better to grab a J now while you still can.

i heard that 5711 will change dial color as similar as the lady nautilus style.

5711get more dial for choices, 5960P/R have a new dial face too, 5726 maybe get a bracelet

This year and on the 5711 the horizontal strips on the dial will be a little bigger and as a result the reference 5711 will be dropped and given a new reference. Regards Darma
