I do own both 3970 and 5970....
Both are my favorite all time Pateks with the exception maybe of the 2499. The 5970P has much more presence on the wrist and the larger case is gorgeous. If I had to choose one, it would be the 5970. But ironically the 3970 feels more like true Patek Philippe and I find myself more mesmerized by the dial of the 3970.

And I have yet to add a chrono piece in the Patek mold so this could be the one. Thanks for sharing!

the 3970 and you (own?) tried on the 5970, which, if forced to choose only 1, would you pick and why from all standpoints?
