I do like this watch a lot!
And at one time it was my favourite Patek as the dial is quite something else. As far as the crown is concerned, many brands especially Cartier for example still place design over functionality and Patek once made a lovely torneau shaped watch in rose gold in the 90s that had the 177 ultra thin movement (sorry I cannot remember the reference) but it was a nightmare to wind. Again, the priority was to ensure that crown blended well with the ultra thin case.

I saw this watch in Platinum...
...in the metal. Unusual but with a lot of presence. Very classy and refined. I think this is one for the person who already has a couple of 'regular' references.

Yes, it is an acquired taste
After two weeks, I am of two minds about it. I still have not gotten used to the tonneau shape. However, the guilloche work is exquisite, and I focus on that. Accuracy is acceptable for an old watch. After a service, it is running -2 s/day.
