Patek Philippe

Hi All, I am just wondering , ( it might be pointless ) ... What type of car or cars would Patek owners be driving ? I am planning for a Patek ( sooner or later ) and I am driving a Ford Focus.

Comes to cars, eg, m3, rs4 etc. At the moment I've got a golf r32 and i love it. Very discreet and well built , bit like a patek. Regards Darma

"Normally" top end cars, if you are looking at the price tag of a Patek. But also like with cars: first and most importantly you have to be in the position to buy it. Than comes the enthusiasm OR the prestige, that means that you are also seing a point in...

who spend a "fortune" on cars, then on watches. Only a few lucky ones are able to spend money for both, if they are interested. From my point of view it would be much more important which shoes you wear, while a Patek (or any other haute horlogerie brand)...

if i was the general manager of a luxury watch brand and especially Patek, i would recommend my sales team, to look 1st at people's shoes, before showing them the great pieces. Can you imagine a guy wearing a 5016R and an old pair of Sport shoes with whit... 

Have a look at the PP latest blog stories "Two purchases worth celebrating". There you can see a guy with white gloves on who is setting the 5016R, wearing quite old trainers! And white socks and a Patek ??? Also not a problem: have a look at bullionsdesk...

For years I couldn't bring myself to buy good shoes. For one the tropical climate I live in isn't friend to leather shoe(a nasty experience for the wearer too if I may add). I do agree that a proper pair goes a long way with a fine watch. I most wear line...

On a normal day, my "shoes" are addidas trainers and my car is a VW Golf Diesel. On a night out, to go with my 5170, my shoes are by Louis Vuitton or Gucci and my car was a Rosso 430 Scuderia Spider - which has now been sold, so back to Golf Diesel.

What can you tell about a person by looking at their watch / shoes / car? I guess very little, other than that they are willing to spend (or borrow) sufficient funds to acquire things. There are some things that we feel passionate about, and passion in on...

I drove a Honda minivan yet wear a 5970P. I think cars and watches have no correlation.

It was maybe 15-20 years ago that question was raise by the wife of a casino owner. In the end she bought a wife Rolls Royce with white leather interior because that best match her clothes. Are we thinking along the same line? I am not into cars so anytin... 

I believe Brad Pitt wears a Nautilus and drives a Prius, so... why not a Focus with a Patek on your wrist ? Personnally I have a 5296 and just a ... bike.

As you won't blow your cash on buying and running an expensive car. Most of the people I know with Pateks drive Range Rovers, one drives a Vanquish and another drives an S class Merc. I don't think a car choice necessarily relates to an expensive watch as... 

while I maintian driving the Focus. I am from Singapore, and the watches are CHEAP here... when compared to cars. To put things in perspective, The new BMW series 1 hatcback 118i (A) is being sold for about US$131000 here.

Italians make the best suits and so on. Therefore, it is a good assumption that a significant fraction of Patek owners drive German cars. Cheers Jim
